Richard Millar

In July 2019, we celebrated the retirement of Richard Millar and his years of tireless service and genuine dedication to financial industry. Byrne & Company Wealth Management, LLC had welcomed Richard to our team in March 2014 as an exclusive hourly financial planning consultant and investment committee member and we were pleased to work with him up until his retirement.

Richard had been a financial advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) for over thirty years in Olympia, Washington. His company, Dempsey Financial Services, Inc., was licensed as a Registered Investment Advisor with the State of Washington.

He earned his Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) – as well as two undergraduate science degrees (BS in Oceanography and BS in Zoology/Botany) – from the University of Washington.

He taught Financial, Estate and Investment Planning classes at The Evergreen State College. He was also a frequent speaker for the State of Washington, Department of Retirement Systems (and for various other private organizations).

Now, as always, Richard enjoys learning new things, tinkering with old cars, camping, music, and spending time with family.

We wish him the best and hope to continue his legacy.
